ABOUT US

Colqa was born from the desire to share the ancestral techniques of Peruvian textile crafts, with the aim of transmitting, through textile art, the beauty and dedication of each artisan of our Peruvian people.

Peruvian textile crafts have a cultural legacy dating back more than 3,000 years, born in pre-Inca times and preserved to this day. Learning techniques and methods for making weaving is a task that families instill in their children from a very young age. It is a valuable practice, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Unesco in 2008, which revalues the artistic legacy of indigenous culture.
